As a filmmaker and documentary photographer based in Brussels, originally from Sicily, I have dedicated my career to capturing stories that define our shared humanity. Throughout my journey, I have had the privilege of directing and producing numerous short films, many of which have been showcased at esteemed film festivals around the world.
Driven by an insatiable curiosity about life’s everyday moments, I immerse myself in unfolding events through the lens of my camera, whether behind the scenes or on the streets. My passion for visual storytelling naturally extends from film to photography, allowing me to explore the world and its complexities from multiple angles.
I hold a degree in Journalism from the University of Palermo and a Master’s in Film from Edinburgh Napier University, where my short film Mura earned the university medal and gained recognition through multiple international film festival screenings.
Collaboration is at the heart of my creative process. Supporting the visions of fellow directors and producers has been an enriching aspect of my career, leading to a diverse range of credits as a first assistant director. This hands-on experience in various roles has shaped my professional path and deepened my commitment to bringing compelling stories to life.
Since 2016, I have had the privilege of being part of MIA, Italy's foremost Animation/Documentary/Film/Drama industry market. In 2022, I was honored to assume the role of International Programming Manager for the Doc & Factual division.
Over the years, I have curated film programs for various prestigious festivals, including the Capalbio International Short Film Festival, Milano Film Festival, and the renowned SXSW, where I contributed to the Film and VR program.
